Arsenal sent clear Champions League warning ahead of showdown against Real Madrid

Achraf Hakimi has warned Arsenal and Real Madrid that Paris Saint-Germain are confident of winning the Champions League after reaching the semi-finals for the fourth time in six seasons.

The Ligue 1 champions survived a second-half fightback from Aston Villa on Tuesday night to qualify for the final four and set up a mouth-watering clash with .

For the Parisians, it was just the fifth time they have qualified for the semi-finals of the , with four of those coming since 2019.

Now, ahead of Wednesday's quarter-final between Real Madrid and Arsenal, Hakimi has warned both teams that PSG are growing in confidence after their recent performances in the competition.

"I think we are really confident," said the PSG captain after his side's progression at Villa Park on Tuesday. "In the last two years, we have worked a lot and improved a lot and we are on the way to becoming a big team.

"We are again in the semi-finals and we want to show everyone that PSG is a big team, a big club and we are going to fight for all the titles we can."

But Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has warned that his side are ready to write history in the Spanish capital on Wednesday night and are inspired by the task at hand.

"I did say that to someone the other day that it's been a weird environment in the last few days," said the England international.

"It's one of the worst results we could possibly imagine away from home and, for some reason, everyone thinks it's nailed on that we'll come back.

"It's a nice feeling, I have to say. It means there's a lot of trust in our talent. It means you're at a club that is unlike any other, the best in the world. That's what it represents and signifies to me.

"There's a pressure in that for sure. We will want to deliver on what everyone thinks, that we can come back. That's the goal for us. There's a pressure but that's what it's all about, isn't it?"
