After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, India has started taking strict action one after the other against Pakistan. In this sequence, now the Government of India has completely banned 16 YouTube channels of Pakistan. According to sources, big Pakistani YouTube channels like Dawn News, Sama TV, Arya News and Geo News have been included in this list.
According to sources, 'The Government of India has taken this decision on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs. For information, let us tell you that these channels have been accused of broadcasting inflammatory, communal tension-spreading content and false information against India, its army and security agencies. In view of this, this step has been taken by the Government of India.
Let us tell you that due to this move, access to popular Pakistani YouTube channels like Shoaib Akhtar, Arzoo Kazmi and Syed Muzammil Shah has now been blocked for Indian viewers. The banned platforms include YouTube channels of Pakistan's leading news channels Dawn, Sama TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News and Suno News. Apart from this, YouTube channels of journalists Irshad Bhatti, Asma Shirazi, Umar Cheema and Munib Farooq have also been banned. Apart from these, YouTube handles like The Pakistan Reference, Sama Sports, Uzair Cricket and Razi Nama have also been banned.
It is worth noting that even before this, the Government of India had blocked more than 30 Pakistani channels in January. It is clear from this that the Government of India is very strict towards those who spread anti-national or misleading content.
Apart from this, in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has also decided to stop the Indus Water Treaty for the time being. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed this and said that India has taken this decision in view of the increasing tension with Pakistan.
The government has also cancelled the visa exemption given to Pakistani citizens under SAARC. Apart from this, the process of closing the Pakistani embassy in India has been started and Pakistani diplomats have also been ordered to leave India.
Let us tell you that all these decisions have been taken after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Also, India now does not seem completely ready to maintain any relationship with Pakistan.
