Over 250 passengers stranded in Milan

An Air India Dreamliner faced a technical issue at Milan Airport on Friday, forcing the cancellation of flight AI138 to Delhi and leaving more than 250 passengers stranded.

The airline said the Boeing 787-8 aircraft required extended technical maintenance, prompting the cancellation. Most affected passengers have been rebooked on flights scheduled for October 20, coinciding with Diwali.

Air India acknowledged social media complaints about limited passenger facilities. “All affected passengers have been provided hotel accommodations; however, due to limited availability, accommodations were arranged outside the immediate vicinity of the airport,” the airline said in a statement.
