South Indian superstar Jr NTR is gearing up for his Bollywood debut with War 2, an action-packed spy-thriller directed by Ayan Mukherji. As part of his preparation, the actor has undergone a rigorous diet and fitness regimen to match his co-star, Hrithik Roshan, who is known for his impressive physique. Jr NTR's body double from RRR, Eshwar Harris, recently spoke to Mana Stars about the actor's efforts to get in shape for the role.

Eshwar Harris Talks About Jr NTR's Transformation
Eshwar Harris, who is familiar with Jr NTR’s working style from RRR, shared insights into the actor’s transformation for War 2. He revealed that he had recently met Jr NTR while shooting an advertisement for Zepto. According to Eshwar, Jr NTR appeared to be feeling a bit under the weather during the shoot. "He was a little weak while shooting for it. That day, he had a fever," Eshwar mentioned.

Despite feeling unwell, Jr NTR was diligently following a strict diet to shed the extra kilos in preparation for his role. Eshwar explained, “He has also been dieting lately because he has to match Hrithik Roshan. It’s not easy to match Hrithik Roshan.” Eshwar, however, did not feel the need to match the physical expectations of his co-stars and instead focused on staying fit as a source of motivation. “I am not trying to match either, but I’m staying fit because Jr NTR anna inspires me,” he added.

Concerns Over Jr NTR's Health Amid Weight Loss
Jr NTR's recent vacation photo from Dubai sparked concern among his fans due to his lean appearance. Some speculated that the actor might be using weight-loss medication like Ozempic, though others defended him, suggesting that the transformation was simply for his role in War 2. One fan remarked, “A man can’t even lose weight now without having stupid people make stupid theories.” Another pointed out the likely reason behind his weight loss, saying, “He’s playing a role in one of Hrithik’s movies, maybe trying to match up to him.”

War 2 will be a significant entry in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes hits like Ek Tha Tiger, Pathaan, and the original War. Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the movie will hit theatres on August 14, 2025. Alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, the film will feature Kiara Advani, marking a major expansion in the universe.
