He spoke openly about the impact of personal relationships on mental health. He said that it not only affects the health of the person but also his professional life. The actor said- 'Relationships are important'

Actor Indranil Sengupta, while giving his opinion on personal relationships, said, 'Relationships are important. We are social creatures. Whether it is with parents, partners, children, or friends. These relationships nourish us and yes, when there are problems in personal relationships, it affects your mental state, which can also affect your professional life. With time and emotional stability, you learn to manage things and divide them into different parts. I think I can do that to some extent.'

Ex-wife accuses him of infidelity.

Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht got married in the year 2008. After being together for 13 years, the two parted ways. They got divorced in 2022. Barkha Bisht alleged that Indranil was cheating on her during their marriage. Despite the betrayal, she stayed together for two years trying to mend their relationship. In a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Barkha revealed that even now she is unsure about what went wrong in their marriage. The actress said, 'Indraneil decided to break the marriage for reasons known only to him. If it was in my hands, I would still be married. We had a good marriage. For four years, I constantly felt that I wished I was less in everything. Maybe things could have been fine. Infidelity, and cheating, is an options. The second option is what you do after that.'
