It was expected that Sunny Deol starrer Jaat will open to a double-digit number. However, that didn’t happen and the movie on its day one collected Rs. 9.50 crore. It was a decent start, but of course everyone was expecting a Rs. 12-15 crore of opening for the movie. Jaat was released on a Thursday, a partial Mahavir Jayanti holiday. So, it was expected that on its day 2, a Friday, the movie will show a drop and that happened.
Jaat Box Office Collection Day 2
On its second day, Jaat collected Rs. 7 crore, taking the two-day total to Rs. 16.50 crore. Well, the numbers are strictly average for a movie that is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 100 crore. At least in two days the film should have crossed the Rs. 20 crore mark.
Jaat Box Office Collection Day 3
Now, it is expected that Jaat will have a jump at the box office on Saturday, day 3. The movie might collect around Rs. 7-9 crore on its third day, and if there’s a good growth in the evening and night shows, then we can expect the collection to be Rs. 10 crore or a bit more than that.
The movie is expected to collect around Rs. 25-28 crore in three days, which is less than the expectations.
Jaat Box Office Collection Day 4
However, the expectations for the collection on day 4 are quite high. It is a Sunday, and the Baisakhi festival is on that day. With Sunny Deol’s huge fan following in Punjab, we can expect that the movie will collect around Rs. 15 crore on day 4. However, if that doesn’t happen, then it will surely be quite disappointing.
In its extended weekend, Jaat is expected to collect around Rs. 35-40 crore which is a strictly average number. A collection of around Rs. 50 crore would have been perfect for the movie. However, it all depends on Saturday and Sunday, if there’s a huge jump in numbers, then we can expect the movie to collect around Rs. 45 crore in four days.
