The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has taken an aggressive stance over the issue of potholes on roads in the Sanpada division.
In an email sent to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Commissioner on Tuesday demanding immediate repairs.
In the letter, the party warned that unless the potholes are repaired before the arrival of Lord Ganesha, the MNS will, in its “MNS style,” organise a public “photo exhibition” of potholes and stage a protest against the NMMC administration.
With only a few days left for the Ganesh festival, potholes in Sanpada remain unaddressed. "Ideally, all pre-monsoon roadworks should have been completed by May 15. NMMC had issued directives to finish road, drainage, footpath, sewer, and culvert works by this date," said the Division President Yogesh Shete . However, Shete alleged that these orders have remained only on paper and criticised the corporation’s lax functioning.

In his letter, Shete demanded that NMMC immediately begin repairing potholes in Sanpada before the Ganesh festival and issue orders to the concerned department without delay. He warned that otherwise, the MNS, along with Ganpati mandals, social organisations, and local residents, will stage a protest by exhibiting photographs of potholes across the division to strongly condemn the NMMC administration.
