Actor Parth Samthaan, who was last seen in Kasautii Zindagii Kay Season 2 opposite Erica Fernandes, is all set to make his television comeback with CID 2. He will step into the shoes of the Shivaji Satam, taking over as the new ACP after the iconic character ACP Pradyuman is killed off in the show. Parth will now lead the charge in solving fresh cases alongside Daya (Dayanand Shetty), Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), and the rest of the team.
Talking about filling in the shows of ACP, Parth talked to Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan and said, "Bachpan se humne yeh show dekha hai. Kitni dafa, yeh show playout bhi kiya hai. Yeh ek iconic show hai joh bohot saalon se chala aa raha hai."
Further, the actor added, "Family ke saath jab discuss kiya toh unko pehle mazak laga. Jab maine unko seriously bataya, they were very proud. It is a big responsibility to fill in such humongous shoes of ACP Pradyuman since main unko replace kar raha hu as ACP Ayushmaan. Naya kirdar hai, nayi story hai. Naye thrill aur suspense ke saath hum iss kahani ko aage badhayenge."

How did ACP Pradyuman die?
In the latest episode of CID 2, Tigmanshu Dhulia, who made a comeback as Barbosa, the boss of The Eye Gang, brutally killed ACP Pradyuman in an explosion.
However, it remains unclear if Shivaji Satam's character will return, as Pradyuman's voice ominously echoes in the background, "Yeh khel abhi khatam nahi hua hai, abhi toh shuruwat hai."
Earlier, Shivaji addressed the reports of ACP Pradyuman’s death in an interview with Bombay Times, stating that he has no clue about it as he has taken a break for some time, and only the makers know what lies ahead in the show.
"I have learnt to take everything in my stride and if my track is over, I am okay with it. However, I have not been told whether my track is over or not! As of now I am not shooting for the show," he added.
