A man travelling on a Delhi Metro appeared to be consuming alcohol onboard. He sipped a pale yellow liquid in a whiskey glass and paired it with a boiled egg he broke on the handrail of the coach. A video of him drinking 'alcohol', the consumption of which is prohibited inside the transport, has gone viral on social media. The clip shows him taking a few sips of the drink and breaking his side dish on a handrail next to him.

More details
In the video being shared by multiple social media users, a man is seen holding a glass filled with alcohol-like liquid and one boiled egg. He first pulls out an egg from his bag and breaks it against the adjacent handrail. He then consumes the drink.
The footage showed him sipping the drink and eating the egg with it. Once done, he placed the glass on the seat. The visuals showed him peeling the eggshell and dropping the waste into a plastic cover, with a few pieces falling on the coach's floor.
While a few news outlets alleged that he consumed alcohol inside the Delhi Metro, there has been no official statement on this.
Alcohol? Netizens say it could be any other drink
A Hindi news channel named News24 posted the video on X and wrote, "A man was seen eating eggs with alcohol in Delhi Metro (translated)". However, X users shared mixed reactions to the post.

"Appy fizz lag raha hain ye tho", one wrote. "When people create ridiculous reels, having egg and alcohol isn't a big issue", commented another, pointing out that this public transport has often made headlines for the wrong reasons.
In the past, videos of fights, vulgar dance performances, and obscene acts have gone viral from the Delhi Metro.
