Dr Devraj Singh, director of DRS Hospital in Prayagraj and famous surgeon, died on Tuesday evening. He suffered a heart attack in the operation theater after seeing patients in the ICU. Other doctors of the hospital tried to save him but his life could not be saved. Dr Singh, a native of Kaushambi, lived in the hospital in Mundera.
Dr Devraj Singh, 62, director of DRS Hospital in Mundera and the city's renowned surgeon, died suddenly on Tuesday evening. At that time, he had reached the operation theater after seeing the condition of the ICU patients in his own hospital.
He suffered a serious heart attack there. By the time other doctors tried to save his life and gave CPR, Dr DR Singh had died. However, the assistant doctors took him to Saraswati Heart Care Hospital in an ambulance. Where the doctors declared him dead.
Dr Devraj Singh, son of Lekhraj Singh, was a resident of Faridpur Nevada village in Kaushambi. After getting DRS Hospital built here in Mundera, he started living with his family on the upper floor. Dr. Singh's wife Sunita Singh is a housewife and daughter Dr. Preksha Singh is a chest physician who works in Delhi. Dr. Singh's son had committed suicide about three years ago, due to which he was also mentally stressed.

On being informed about the incident, many doctors from nearby hospitals came. Dr. Rajiv Singh, Director of Narayan Swaroop Hospital in Mundera, Dr. NN Gopal, Neurosurgeon of SRN Hospital also reached. Still, Dr. Devraj's life could not be saved.
On receiving the information, all surgeons and other doctors were in grief. Yash Hospital Director Dr. K Saxena, Swarooprani Nehru Hospital surgeon Dr. Santosh Singh, Chest Physician Dr. Ashish Tandon and other doctors expressed grief. Dr. Devraj Singh's last rites will be performed on Wednesday.
