Mike Maignan is undergoing tests in hospital after he was stretchered off in 4-0 win over on Friday. The goalkeeper was briefly knocked unconscious after a clash of heads with Milan team-mate Alex Jimenez during the second-half.
Play was immediately stopped and medical staff rushed onto the pitch, placing Maignan in the recovery position before moving him onto a stretcher and taking him to hospital. And Milan substitute Tammy Abraham appeared so concerned that he dropped to his knees and prayed for his team-mate.
Maignan did regain consciousness and Milan boss shared an update on his condition after the game. Conceicao also praised the Udinese fans for applauding Maignan as he was stretchered off, with the goalkeeper having previously from a section of supporters during a game last year.
"It impressed me. The player on the ground, the chaos around him ... I have to compliment the Udinese fans," Conceicao told Sky Sport Italia. "The player is one thing, and the man is another.
"They can boo the player, but not the man. That applause was an incredible gesture, in 40 years of football I have seen few gestures like that. Now Mike is in hospital for tests."

Maignan's team-mates also paid tribute to the France international after the game, with telling DAZN: "The most important thing is that Mike is OK. Our thoughts are with him."
Rafael Leao added: "With what had happened before in Udine, it's a strange environment. We came in focused, having prepared well for the game after a good week of work. This victory, however, is for Maignan."
Matteo Gabbia, meanwhile, revealed that Milan's doctor had informed the team that Maignan is "doing okay". The defender said: "Fortunately, Mike is fine.
"We all asked the doctor how he was, and he reassured us by telling us that he's in the hospital for tests, but he's doing okay. He's a great captain, he also stuck his face into a dangerous situation."
The result leaves Milan ninth in Serie A, with the 4-0 win their largest margin of victory in the league so far this season. And both Leao and Gabbia felt the side benefited greatly from Conceicao's decision to switch from 4-2-3-1 system to a 3-4-3 formation.
When asked if the new system helped to get the best out of him, Leao said: "In my opinion, yes. Even defensively, we were compact. With an extra man (at the back), I'm freer up front to go left or right.
"I got on well with Pulisic and [Luka] Jovic, and [Tammy] Abraham too when he came on. We did well creatively up front today."
Gabbia added: "I really enjoyed playing like this. The coach was great. In a few days, he explained what he wants from us, the various stages, when we had to be aggressive. It worked tonight and gave solidity to the whole team. It was a great initiative."
