Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho with the Old Trafford outcast unwilling to go anywhere else. The 21-year-old is part of Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad', having been frozen out alongside Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.
Rashford has since joined Barcelona on loan with an option to buy, but the other four players are still in situ. However, Garnacho could be set to get his move away, with Chelsea ready to offer him a fresh start.
According to the Athletic, talks over a deal for Garnacho have 'advanced' and the player is said to have 'ruled out all options this summer' other than joining Chelsea or remaining at United.
Chelsea have had a longstanding interest in Garnacho and it is claimed that he expects the move to happen. Garnacho and Amorim fell out after the winger was benched for United's Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
Immediately after the final, Garnacho was critical of Amorim and told reporters: "It's hard for everyone. The season was s***, both now losing the final tonight, and in the league, where we didn't beat anyone, that's the truth.

"Up until the final, I've played every round, and today to play 20 minutes… I don't know. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens after."
And when asked about Garnacho's future earlier this month, Amorim said: "I think with Garnacho, you can understand and you can see that he's talented, he's a really talented boy. But sometimes things don't work out and you cannot explain specifically what it is.
"But I have the feeling – and I think it's clear - that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership and I can understand that.

"So I don't think it's a problem. Sometimes you adapt to one guy and you have the connection. Other times you want a new challenge.
"So we try to make everything OK for all parties. To the club, to the coach and to the player. It's a natural thing in football."
United have revamped their attacking department this summer after scoring a paltry 44 league goals last term. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have already joined from Brentford and Wolves respectively, with Benjamin Sesko now closing in on a move.
The RB Leipzig striker agreed a deal to sign for the Red Devils on Thursday, having turned down a more lucrative offer from Newcastle. Sesko will now fly into Manchester imminently, completing his medical before the weekend, with an announcement expected shortly after.
