Are the Coachella crowd too young to appreciate rock legend Sir Brian May?to wrap up his 11-song set.
As Benson - - began to cover Queen hit Bohemian Rhapsody, 77-year-old Brian rose up onto the stage on a platform to perform the song’s guitar solo. “Brian May, everybody!” said Benson to the Californian crowd, who appeared to ring up flat.
Despite Brian and Benson’s joint energy making for an unforgettable performance, it was met with an arguably tame crowd.

And now, fans have been quick to point out how the music festival, which saw stars such as Charli XCX and Lola Young take to the stage, might not have been the right audience to appreciate Brian’s return to the stage.
"Too bad Coachella crowd was just too young to know who Brian May is.. Most undeserving crowd," shared one user to X.
Another tweeted: "About the lack of energy for Sir Brian May at Coachella: that crowd DOESN"T represent us American Queen fans! I'm just as surprised (& as a Californian, embarrassed)! After the movie & 2023 SOLD OUT US tour, you'd ideally think they'd at least heard of him, apparently not, sadly."
Even jesting about the reaction himself, Benson shared to TikTok: “Me trying to get the crowd at Coachella to understand what an absolute legend Brian May is and the cultural impact he has on music and THE WORLD.”

The comment section of Benson's video were filled with fans convinced the UK crowd would have given Greater London-born Brian a bigger reaction. One wrote: "Brian May deserves a UK crowd. that whole performance would have sent a UK crowd FERAL!"
Music icon Brian, who co-founded Queen back in 1970, looked the picture of health as he performed for the first time At the time, he admitted to fearing his “little health hiccup” had ended his illustrious music career.
Sharing the news with his fans on , Brian said: “I’m here to bring you some good news — the good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days.
“I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago and what they called it was a minor stroke. It was a little scary, I have to say," he added.
Following the Coachella performance, Brian dubbed Benson a ‘22-year-old prodigy’.
While Benson shared to Instagram his joy to share the stage with Brian, writing, “@brianmayforreal I have no words. You are easily one of the most legendary musicians of all time and I cannot thank you enough for coming out.”
