"I have to say, there was a time that, just hearing the theme song would really..." he said before letting out a sizable sigh showing his frustration with the song. "You know what I mean? I just had that reaction. I mean, I just had heard it so many times."
He explained his saturation: "And any time you'd go on a show or a talk show or an interview, they'd always, that would be your intro song. So I just didn't have the greatest response to it for a period of time."
Yet, a heart-warming turnabout happened – thanks to his daughter's newfound appreciation for the classic sitcom.
"And then at about age nine, my kid discovered it and started watching it," Schwimmer shared. "And I'd be making breakfast or whatever, and I'd hear my kid's laughter. My whole relationship to that song and to the show changed again."
Lucas chimed in with a cheeky comment during the chat, saying: "But it's also like, they're watching it of their own volition. Not like David's son, who is being made to watch it," poking fun at his co-host and writer David Walliams.
"Yeah, it is different when you don't force a child to watch your work" the Friends legend concurred.
"Yeah, and the books as well. Oh my god. I always feel so sorry," Lucas added, humorously referring to Walliams' kids who he quipped often receive his books as presents.
"They're gonna be in therapy in years to come," Walliams jokingly replied back.
Schwimmer, has one daughter, Cleo, with his ex-wife Zoë Buckman. Cleo was born in 2011, and will be celebrating her 14th birthday on May 8, 2025.
Back in 2005, Schwimmer expressed his longing for family life to the , saying he believed contentment would come with fatherhood.
"I don't think I'll truly be happy until I'm a father and a husband," he revealed. "There's a part of me that thinks, did the celebrity thing, did the entertainment thing, done plays, done TV, done film - done it."
Despite Schwimmer and Buckman parting ways in 2017 following a brief split, sources say they remain on friendly terms, successfully co-parenting their daughter.
