DJ has updated fans on his halfway through a concert. The music producer, 49, took to his on Wednesday to share a photo of himself giving the camera a thumbs up as he lay in a hospital bed.

"That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice. Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! ," Mark wrote.

In another update, Mark proved that he was keeping busy while in hospital as he indulged in some crossword fun. After trying to crack the clue: "Character in a hit 2023 film who sings "Is it my destiny to live and die a life of blonde fragility", Mark said: "Once wrote about the existential struggle of a plastic man. Of course, Mark was referring to the iconic character of Ken in the Barbie Movie. The DJ co-wrote and co-produced the soundtrack for the 2023 award-winning blockbuster, collaborating with Andrew Wyatt and artists like Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Lizzo. After he was mentioned in the New York Times crossword, it appeared Mark's spirits lifted after his trip to A&E.

Lion Babe, Yebba and other musicians and DJs sent their well wishes to Mark in the comment section as they manifested a speedy recovery for the DJ. Mark's injury comes several days after he announced he's releasing a memoir called Night People, which will explore his formative years as a DJ in 90s New York.

The memoir is set to document the Valerie musician's journey from being an outsider after moving from London to New York as a child to finding his space in the city's club and hip-hop scene. “DJing in 90s New York City informed everything I ever did after, becoming the foundation for all my future work and creativity,” he said.
