An OnlyFansmodel and adult film actress turned killer has been jailed after she lured her alleged rapist to the woods and executed him. But his death is not the only one assoicated with the crime as a chilling chain of events was set in motion.
Chelsea Perkins, 35, a US Coast Guard veteran from Virginia, was jailed for 22 and-a-half years after she pleaded guilty to murderingMatthew Dunmire, 31, in Cleveland, US. The FBIdescribed how Dunmire had told friends he was going to meet a women for the weekend.
Perkins reportedly showed up in a white car belonging to her husband, before the duo drove to an Airbnb she rented with a credit card. The pair then drove to a park on March 6, 2021, shortly before hikers reported hearing a gunshot. Another group of hikers came across Dunmire’s body, which had a single gunshot wound to the back of the head.

In May, Perkins pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and using or carrying and discharging a firearm during, and in relation to, a crime of violence on federal property, in connection to Dunmire’s fatal shooting death. She faced up to 25 years in prison for the crime and was sentenced to 22-and-a-half years today by US District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr, with five years to be served under supervised release after imprisonment.
The court heard now Perkins went to Michigan and got a tattoo of a noose on her forearm before driving home to Virginia. In court on Monday, Perkins apologised to Dunmire’s family, saying: “I take full responsibility for what I’ve done."
She had accused Dunmire of raping her although no charges were ever filed against him, Cleveland19 reported. Her rape allegation against Dunmire was dropped by police because of insufficient evidence, according to reports.
Investigators were able to link her to the crime using surveillance, text messages, and ballistic evidence. In a search of her home, federal agents found three guns. They also discovered a deleted note on her phone what appeared to be a fake suicide note from Dunmire written around the time his body was found, the U.S. Attorney said in the statement.
Matthew Dunmire’s father, spoke to the court, saying: “My son was a good person too and now his children have no father.”
In a bizzare twist, Matthew Dunmire is not the only fatality linked to this case. In 2021 it appears that his mother, Tommie Lynn Dunmire, growing frustrated with the police investigation into her son's death, decided to take matters into her own hands.
Her partner John Nelson McQuillen told investigators how she had begun her own "research" into the case, becoming incraesinly mentally unstable and rage-filled, saying she wanted to confront and killt he woman she believed responsible for her son's murder. In November 2021 Tommie Lynn Dunmire and John Nelson McQuillen drove to Washington DC, stopping at a house in the Kingman Park neighborhood.
Tommie Lynn Dunmire donned a brown vest and baseball cap and carried a cardboard box to the woman’s front door, knocking and announcing herself as a UPS delivery driver, wtop news reports. When the woman opened the door, Dunmire fired two shots from a silver revolver she was holding inside of an opening cut in the back of the box.
Dunmire and McQuillen then drove away, stopping to change the license plate on their vehicle. However the pair were stopped soon after by a police officer, at which point Dunmire shot herself in the head. She died in hospital two weeks later.
The woman Dunmire shot — who authorities said had nothing to do with the death of Dunmire’s son — was struck twice in the abdomen but survived. McQuillen pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to assault with intent to kill. He was sentenced to 42 months in prision.
Speaking at the time of his guilty plea, McQuillen's attorney, Jamison Koehler, called the incident: “a sad and extraordinarily unusual course of events — the murder of his son and the suicide of his longtime companion in his presence — that would be impossible to repeat.”
