There's good news for fans of The Handmaid's Tale as it's been confirmed actress Elisabeth Moss will have a major role in the spin-off show, The Testaments.
The sequel, which is set 15 years after the events of The Handmaid's Tale, is based on the book by Margaret Attwood of the same name.
Although it was already announced that actress Ann Dowd would be reprising her role as Aunt Lydia as one of the narrators, Hulu has shared Elisabeth Moss will be an executive producer on the show.

It's not her first time working behind the scenes as Elisabeth has directed many episodes of The Handmaid's Tale. It's not yet known when fans can expect to see The Testament on air, however, filming for the highly-anticipated sequel will get underway from April 7.
Viewers can expect to see a whole new generation of young women in the dystopian Gilead. The spin-off will be narrated by three women, Agnes, Daisy and Aunt Lydia.
A description reads: "For these young women, growing up in Gilead is all they have ever known, having no tangible memories of the outside prior to their indoctrination into this life.
"Facing the prospect of being married off and living a life of servitude, they will be forced to search for allies, both new and old, to help in their fight for freedom and the life they deserve."
Joining actress Ann Dowd, it's been confirmed that Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz and Brad Alexander will all feature on the show.

Similarly, fans can expect to see the likes of Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.
On social media, Hulu shared a snap of the cast and crew at a table reading, sending fans of The Handmaid's Tale into a frenzy. One person commented: "BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR."
Someone else wrote: "Praise be!" Another excited fan said: "Omg, this is so awesome!!!! I read both books & the show was totally different but, I love The Handmaid's Tale series so much. Can't wait to see this spin-off [sic]."
One person added: "Such exciting news!" With another writing: "Amazing!!! So excited to watch." The news of The Testaments production comes ahead of the final series of The Handmaid's Tale, which will air on April 8.
Recently, a trailer for the sixth and final season was released, showing June leading a rebellion against the oppressive Gilead regime.
A synopsis teases: "This final chapter of June's journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom."
