Hypertension: World Hypertension Day is celebrated every year on 17 May, the main objective of which is to spread awareness among people about high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure is also called high blood pressure. Some people also call it a 'silent killer', because its early symptoms are such that a person usually does not pay attention to it. Its symptoms can gradually cause serious damage to vital organs of the body, like the heart, kidney, brain, and other organs. It can be the main cause of life-threatening problems like heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease. According to health experts, wrong eating habits, stress, a sedentary lifestyle, and smoking increase the risk of hypertension.
Many people do not know that they are knowingly or unknowingly making some mistakes in their daily routine, which can cause high blood pressure. Let us know about this in this article.
Eat salt in balanced amounts.
Eating more salt increases the amount of water in the body, which puts pressure on the blood vessels. Processed food, fast food, and packet snacks contain high amounts of salt. So add a healthy diet to your diet instead of these. Also, consume salt in balanced amounts.
Keep an active lifestyle.
A sedentary lifestyle affects blood circulation and can increase blood pressure. Sitting for long periods also causes obesity, which increases the risk of hypertension. Therefore, one should avoid sedentary lifestyle and do physical activity in between.
Get enough sleep
Constant mental stress for a long time and inadequate sleep (less than 7-8 hours) increase the level of cortisol hormone, which is one of the main causes of hypertension.
