102 Year Old Mike Defeated Cancer: In today's time, cancer has become a serious and rapidly growing threat to the whole world. Every year millions of people fall prey to this deadly disease. It not only harms the body, but also affects the person and his family badly mentally and financially. But the good thing is that with timely correct information, balanced diet and active lifestyle, not only can cancer be prevented, but it is also possible to recover completely from it.
One such inspirational story is of 102-year-old Mike , who defeated a serious disease like cancer by using his willpower and changing his lifestyle.
When life was about to stop...Mike was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 69. The doctors gave him just three months to live. Hearing this would have broken anyone, but Mike decided to fight instead of giving up. He changed his entire lifestyle and especially focused on his diet .
Diet inspired by Japanese traditionMike followed a macrobiotic diet based on Japanese tradition . This diet is completely plant-based, which includes natural and balanced foods. Mike's diet included:
- Brown Rice (Brown Rice)
- Steamed vegetables like carrots, kale, and cabbage
- Sea weed
- Half a can of beans daily
He completely avoided processed food, red meat, dairy products, sugar and chemically laden foods. Instead, he opted for organic (natural) foods and used simple and healthy cooking methods like steaming , boiling and fermentation .
Kept the body activeAlong with diet, Mike also made physical activities an important part of his daily routine. Even today, at the age of 102, he is not only able to walk, but also:
