An exclusive clip from Paramount+'s upcoming series Little Disasters teases an intense confrontation between two main characters.
German actress Diane Kruger stars as a mother locked in a devastating row with a best friend over a life-changing decision.
This upcoming drama explores a fraught quandary across six episodes that promises to challenge the viewers with hard-hitting questions of morality.
An official logline reads: "An A+E doctor treating an unexplained head injury on the child of one of her best friends faces the dilemma of whether to subsequently make a report to child social services."
Express Online has acquired an exclusive scene from the series revealing the explosive fallout from doctor Liz (played by Jo Joyner) making the impossible call.
Kruger's character Jess is seen washing her hands in a hospital bathroom when Liz enters and immediately apologises.
"I'm sorry," she begins. "I had no idea that things were gonna move so fast."
Jess looks at her friend in the mirror and demands: "How could you make that call?
"How could you do this to us? They threatened to take away our sons and put them into foster care!"
"I know, I'm so sorry," Liz says, looking down in remorse. Jess snaps back furiously, "You started all this!"

Liz looks clearly distraught but maintains she made the right decision. "Yes, but I couldn't give you special treatment!" she explains.
But Jess isn't having it and argues back: "This is designed for strangers who beat their children. Strangers you don't trust, not friends!"
Tears in her eyes, she goes on: "You leave your children alone with me! I've known you for 10 years Liz! 10 years! And now you don't care."
Liz looks offended and insists "I do care. Of course I care", as the clip comes to an end.
Based on the novel by Sarah Vaughan, Sunday Times best-selling author of Anatomy of a Scandal, Little Disasters is a must-watch drama for Paramount+ subscribers.
And, if you've not signed up for the service, take this as a sign to join the streaming platform to make sure you don't miss the release of a new series based on a book that The Girl on the Train author Paula Hawkins said was "guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat."
Kruger previously said of the drama: "This series will offer a relatable story which examines the crippling judgement levied upon mothers by society.
"The story so wonderfully explores the fragility of reputation, with the rapid unravelling of Jess' seemingly perfect life."
Will Jess' life unravel completely? Did Liz make the right call? Find out soon with all six episodes dropping tomorrow.
Little Disasters premieres Thursday, 22nd May on Paramount+.
