
A "sultry and stunning" murder mystery series streaming now is hailed by fans as "unrivalled". Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is set in 1920s Melbourne and follows the crime-solving adventures of private detective Phryne Fisher (played by Essie Davis).
The show, which is based on a series of novels by Kerry Greenwood, captures the glamour and opulence of the Flapper Era, replete with striking outfits. The Australian show, which first hit screens in 2012, was a hit both domestically and internationally. There were three series, the last of which aired in 2015.

It was followed up by a feature film, Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, released in 2020.
Fans were bowled over by the series when it first appeared, with one calling it "sultry and stunning".
"The entire cast is great, the characters are well thought out and multi-dimensional," they wrote on IMDb in 2013.
"The episodes are also well done, peppered with historical information and accuracy. I would highly recommend "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" to any mystery buff, it's a modern classic done in the period style of the roaring 20's."
