Rod Stewart flooded with support as he issues major career announcement

was flooded with messages from his excited fans as he issued a huge announcement. The musician, 80, is showing no signs of slowing down as he is currently touring the world and will headline Glastonbury 2025 in June.

Last month, the 'Maggie May' hitmaker concluded a number of shows in Las Vegas where he recently celebrated his 200th concert. In just a few weeks, the singer will perform in Lithuania, Finland and Norway before making his way to the United States as his global One Last Time tour continues.

And the rock star just keeps on giving as he shared details of his first solo best-of album, dubbed Ultimate Hits. It is set to arrive on June 27, just days before he takes to the stage at Glastonbury.

Now, the 'Baby Jane' singer revealed fans can ensure they get their hands on the album as they can pre-order it already.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "I'm thrilled to let you know that The Ultimate Hits collection is now available for pre-order and it's coming your way June 27th! It's packed with the classics you know and love. Pre-order now and be ready to sing along when it drops!"

The post was inundated with messages from his fans who flocked to the comments to share their excitement. "Time to upgrade all my cassettes and records then!!," one exclaimed as another declared: "Pre-ordered."

Another labelled the announcement as "great news" while a fourth echoed: "Been singing a long time with . Love your music and can't wait to see you in concert again."

Ultimate hits will feature some of the most iconic hits from Sir Rod's extensive discography, including 'Handbags and Gladrags', 'Maggie May', 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?', 'Hot Legs' and 'Baby Jane'.

Last month, Sir Rod shared a video on social media showcasing his live performance in Las Vegas, during which he delighted the audience with his rendition of the classic ballad from Cat Stevens, 'The First Cut Is The Deepest'.

However, the Sailing crooner's followers wasted no time in , begging him to take a break. Several fans expressed their disappointment with his vocals, while others admitted his delivery didn't match their expectations.

One commented: "Voice is gone now, Rod. Have a good rest, mate..." Another user responded: "Oh, the energy appears to be lacking. I would still pay to see him again in Vegas."

Someone else remarked: "Sounds awful now and looks shattered. Seen him so many times, loved them all, but it's just not the same anymore."
