has been issued a huge blow ahead of the third episode of her BBC series hitting screens. Stacey & Joe kicked off at the beginning of the month and follows the star, 35, and her husband Joe Swash, 43, as they provide an intimate glimpse inside their lives at Pickle Cottage. In the six-part series, Stacey and Joe are joined by their three children; Rex, five, Rose, three, and two-year-old Belle. Stacey's older sons, Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, also appear in the series, as does Harry, Joe's teenage son from a previous relationship.
But after just one episode, Stacey & Joe sparked heavy backlash, with some branding it "utter trash" and others for "wasting their licence fee". The negative response has been so great that there is now a 78% chance that it won't be recommissioned for a second series. believes it's even possible that the BBC won't show the full series, giving odds of 2/1 that it will be pulled before all six episodes are broadcast.

Shane Orton, a spokesperson for Bet Ideas, said: "It's difficult to remember the last time a high-profile BBC show got such a kicking from the viewers.
"We think there's no way that the will film a second series - especially with the licence fee being such a sensitive issue at the moment. They can't say the show is value for money when so many viewers hate it."
He has also speculated that Stacey & Joe could be dropped from its current prime time slot of Tuesday's at 8pm, adding: "It's not unheard of for broadcasters to move unpopular shows to a quieter slot - and we wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what happens here."
During the second episode, . The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, clashed over the phone, with the former EastEnders actor hanging up on his wife after allowing their kids to eat baked beans on the sofa.
She fumed: "Wow. The argument was I came home and thought I'm going to tidy the front room because the front room is a sh**hole and all over my sofa was beans!" Stacey said she found "about 10 baked beans" smeared over the couch - but Joe wasn't having any of it.
He hit back: "I'm not you! You go on as if you've never ever given those kids food in the front room, which would be a lie!"
The ex-soap star added: "Your reaction to me giving the kids beans on toast on the sofa is an overreaction. You're out of order, Stace. I spent the day looking after the kids. I cooked them lunch..." Stacey shot back that as a dad, that's a "normal thing to do" with the kids.
At the time of the row, Joe was staying in a hotel miles from his family home as he was filming another TV show. The argument ended in a tense moment, with Joe telling his wife to "have a lovely evening". An emotional Stacey told the cameras: "It's not just the beans. The beans are like the icing on the cake of all the things I have to go around and pick up."
