The famous UK seaside town that boasts the 'cheapest pint' at £3.25

With the sun shining high in the sky, many Brits will be heading to a this weekend. However, beer lovers in one UK city can enjoy their drink slightly more than the rest as they sip on the nation's cheapest pint. Taking the crown is seaside town , with a pint costing just £3.25 on average. Following behind is Northampton, with a value of £3.50, followed by Derby, costing £3.60.

New research from the credit card brand has revealed which cities, on average, offer the best deals for a wallet-friendly pub trip. Unsurprisingly, London and Belfast, both capital cities, top the list as the most expensive places for a pint, with an average price of £6.00. This is followed closely by Bristol, where a pint costs £5.60.

The cities in the UK with the most pub gardens in comparison to their population have also been revealed, with Crawley taking the top spot. Boasting 2,312 beer gardens for every 100,000 people, there is plenty of room for locals to soak up the sun this summer.

In second place is Luton, with the city offering 1,616 beer gardens per every 100,000 people. Dudley takes third place, which is home to 1,257 beer gardens per 100,000 people and just 199,059 residents.

On the other end of the spectrum, Belfast has been revealed as the worst destination for a beer garden trip. The Northern Ireland capital not only charges £6.00 for a pint, but it lacks beer gardens too, with just 8 per 100,000 people.
