in certain parts of the UK can , especially coming up to summer. Some guests might find themselves having paid a lot only to find that a room doesn't live up to what they were expecting of it. That is what happened to .

The creator posted a video complaining about the price they paid for a hotel room in Southampton and the state they found it in, highlighting the dodgy shower curtain and the bathroom bin. The video, which has received over 300,000 views since it was first shared, was recorded at a Days Inn by Wyndham in Southampton. In the text overlay of the clip, he says that it is "such a bad hotel" before explaining his reasons.

"It was £110 for a night," he said. "When you see the quality of the room, you're going to think 'I wouldn't pay more than a tenner'."

He added: "We didn't even complain. We should have done, really. We should have got it for free because it's that much of a dump."

He then shows the room, firstly complaining about the "super sensitive" fire alarm that he claimed is set off by the steam in the .

He then pointed out stains on the shower curtain, which he suspects might be from fake tan, as well as the bin which he says is "falling apart". He also noticed toilet tissue still in the toilet bowl and suspicious stains.

"The mirrors were disgusting," he added.

He then zoomed into the tap in the bath and showed off the limescale. Then, he moves on to show the "multiple stains on the walls" and the dust on the radiator.

When he pulled the bed out from the wall, he found someone else's half-empty bottle of juice and a child's toy underneath. "Absolutely filthy," he said in the clip.

Towards the end of the video, he shows the 'do not disturb' sign to be hung on the door handle which appears to have bite marks on it. Finally, he reveals the dirt inside the kettle and the dust in the tea/coffee area. The Daily Express has contacted Wyngham Hotels and Resorts for comment.

People took to the comments section of the video to share their reactions. One person wrote: "I worked at Premier Inn for 11 years and we only had 23 minutes to clean a room and bathroom, that was including changing the bed linen. Three rooms an hour. No excuse for how bad your room is, bad management."

Another said: "I think the sour part is the price. Apart from the toilet and the stuff under the bed, the rest would be okay for a £30 room. "

A third commented: "Apart from the toilet, this looks okay to me, limescale really isn't cause for complaint! & having to close the door during showers to stop steam triggering alarm is fairly standard even in 4 star hotels. Honestly what do you expect from a two star budget hotel?"
