When Salman Khan hilariously blamed Sooraj Barjatya for not getting married, here's what Salim Khan had said!

Salman Khan is the most eligible bachelor in Bollywood and clearly, Salman has dissed the questions about his marriage several times. Once when the actor was asked about it, he had jokingly blamed his good friend Sooraj Barjatya for his bachelorhood. Salman and Sooraj have worked together in movies like ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun...!’, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’. They make one of the best actor-director pairings in Hindi cinema.

Once when Salman was asked about his marriage at TiE Global Summit, he had joked, “Marriage has become such a big thing. You spend lakhs and lakhs and crores of money on getting somebody married. I can't afford that. That's the reason I am a single man." He had joked that now Sooraj Barjatya has increased the cost of weddings through all his movies and hence he cannot get married.

Meanwhile, Salim Khan had once reflected upon Salman’s marriage on a very serious note. He had once said during a chat with Komal Nahta, “Salman ka pata nahi kya hai… Salman ki ek toh is wajah se bhi shaadi nahi hoti hai ki thoda sa contradiction bhi hai Salman ki thinking main (There is a contradiction in Salman’s thinking, which is one of the reasons why he’s not married)."

He added, “Jab commitment ho jaata hai toh voh usko convert karne ki koshish karta hai, usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Woh toh possible nahi hai. Why should one deprive her ki main shaadi karke ghar baitha doonga? Uska wohi hota hai. (After commitment, he tries to convert them and looks for his mother in them. That is not possible. Why should we deprive her of her dreams and make her sit at home. That's his problem.)"
