Reality TV has often served as a launchpad for aspiring actors, and for Bigg Boss 18 contestant Yamini Malhotra, the experience turned out to be life-altering. The actress, who is now set to make her grand Bollywood debut with the film Chill Marna Bro, says that her journey wouldn’t have been possible without the platform and visibility Bigg Boss gave her.
In an exclusive chat, Yamini shared, “Bigg Boss gave me a special kind of fame and connection with the audience. It made people see the real me, and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. Because of Bigg Boss, I got opportunities that I had only dreamt of before.”
Talking about her debut film, she says she’s thrilled to explore a new medium of storytelling and can't wait for her fans to see her in a different avatar. “It’s a big step, and I’m ready for it. Acting has always been my passion, and now getting to live that dream on the big screen is surreal,” she adds.
What makes Yamini stand out is not just her talent, but her grounded nature and immense gratitude. “I’ll never forget my roots,” she says. “Bigg Boss was a turning point, and I’ll always owe a part of my success to it.”
After a successful stint in Bigg Boss 18, Yamini took a well-deserved break from her hectic schedule to spend quality time with her family in Delhi. Having been constantly occupied with back-to-back shoots, events, and content creation, she finally decided to hit pause and prioritize family and self-care. Her fans welcomed this decision, appreciating her mindful approach to balance.
Reflecting on her time off, Yamini shared, “God had been extremely kind and benevolent, and lately, I had been blessed with abundant work. While that always remained my priority, it was equally important to take a backseat at times and reconnect with family to rejuvenate the mind and heart.”
With the cameras soon to roll on her film, Yamini’s fans are eagerly cheering her on.
