After Delhi Capitals ' convincing win over Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, mentor Kevin Pietersen has boarded a flight to the Maldives and will take a break before linking up with the squad again.
Pietersen will be missing the side's next away game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 10 but will rejoin the team before the home game against Mumbai Indians on April 13.

The Axar Patel-led unit is off to a dream start in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they are the only undefeated side in the cash-rich league so far. After a tight win over Lucknow Super Giants in their season opener, DC registered emphatic wins over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next two games to take their tally to six points.
The bowlers Mitchell Starc and Kuldeep Yadav are in top form this season and batters are doing a very effective job. KL Rahul has definitely bolstered the line-up as he showed his class in the away game vs CSK on Saturday. Opening the innings because Faf Du Plessis wasn't fit for the game, Rahul hit a 51-ball 77 and held the side together.
Next game vs RCB will be a challenge as the Chinnaswamy is an unforgiving venue for the bowlers but the side has enough experienced players in its ranks to come out on top.
With the right blend of youth and experience, DC are looking a formidable unit this season and are certainly one of the title contenders.
