Making its Max Battle debut, this supreme primate is no simple Raid Boss, it is bigger and tougher and accompanies the chance of catching a rare Shiny Dynamax form. Although the odds for Shiny Pokemon do not get a boost for this event, they are certainly part of the realm of possibility, and hence Max Monday is a potential treasure chest.
The battle strategy: Don’t go in blindPassimian is not just any Dynamax that could be taken lightly. It is clear that a high-level player would seem to be able to solo the match, but it can be performed in the company of at least two trainers — especially, if you aren't packing some ideal counters.

Know what not to use:

Bug-, Dark-, and Rock-types are not good choices, since Passimian will completely shrug them off.

Top counters:

To win you need to exploit its weaknesses: Psychic, Flying and Fairy-types thrive here. Mewtwo (Psychic), Togekiss (Fairy/Flying), and Rayquaza (Flying/Dragon with strong movesets) can Stack up great damage for the battle.

Build a balanced team:

• Begin with a defender: Pokémon with high Defense and Stamina that can withstand the hits from Passimian, like Togekiss or Gardevoir. Put them into the field to build your Max Meter early.
  
• Switch to attackers during Dynamax phase: Pokemon which have high attack stats with Super Effective STAB moves can maximize damage output.
  
• Remember: Your Fast Move determines the typing of your Max Move so pick moves that match well against Passimian's weaknesses.
