How to make someone a Keyholder in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?

Send Push
LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is all about creativity, survival, and, of course, vibing with your squad. Whether you're building the ultimate village or exploring wild biomes, playing with friends makes everything 10x better. But here’s the deal—your world isn’t just open to anyone. You need to make them a Keyholder to grant full access.

Want to give your bestie unlimited access to your world—even when you’re offline? Here’s how to make someone a Keyholder in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.

What is a Keyholder in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?Think of a Keyholder as a VIP guest in your LEGO Fortnite world. Every world you create comes with a "key" that you can share with up to seven players. Once someone becomes a Keyholder, they can:
  • Enter your world anytime, even when you're not online.
  • Build, modify, and explore freely.
  • Make permanent changes to your world.
Just remember: everything a Keyholder does is permanent—so maybe don’t give the key to that one friend who loves chaos.
How to Make Someone a Keyholder in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?Follow these steps to grant your friend full access:

  • Open LEGO Fortnite and go to your world.
  • Invite your friend to join the game.
  • Open the Map (M key) or Inventory (I key).
  • Head to the "Players" tab.
  • Find your friend’s name and click "Share Key."
  • Boom! You’ll see a pop-up confirming that “[PlayerName] is now a Keyholder.

And just like that, they can access the world anytime—even when you’re not around!

How to Remove a Keyholder in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?Regretting your decision? Maybe your friend went on a little too wild of a building spree? No worries—you can revoke access in a few clicks:
  • Open your LEGO Fortnite world.
  • Press M to open the Map.
  • Go to the Players tab.
  • Find the person you want to remove.
  • Click Remove Key—and they’re out!
  • That’s it! They’ll lose access until you decide to re-add them.

Sharing is caring, but in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, it also means trusting your squad. Giving someone Keyholder status is like handing over the keys to your LEGO kingdom, so choose trustworthy players! Pick people who will build and not break your masterpiece. Now that you know how to share (or take back) access, go ahead and build, explore, and survive with your squad.
